Village of Huntley Issues Storm Notice

In light of Thursday's winter storm, village officials remind Huntley residents to use caution when driving and not to park on streets.

The village of Huntley issued the following notice Thursday afternoon:

A winter storm warning has been issued for our area with snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches expected. The heaviest snow is expected between 3 p.m and 10 p.m. Thursday with blowing and drifting conditions, which will make travel especially hazardous.

Huntley village crews are currently salting and plowing streets and will remain on duty until the end of the snowstorm. Your patience is appreciated during plowing and clean up efforts.

Reminders:

  • Parking is not allowed on the street during the storm.
  • Pushing snow into the street from driveways is an ordinance violation and creates additional hazards for drivers.
