The Irish House Party Comes To Drendel Ballroom

Dublin show featuring musicians and dancers slated for 7 p.m. Monday.

 

The Irish House Party is set for tonight at the Drendel Ballroom at Sun City.

However, those who don't have tickets, yet, may be in a wee bit of trouble. The Sun City show, scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, is sold out, according to organizers. Drendel Ballroom is located at the Sun City Prairie Lodge, 12940 Del Webb Blvd.

However, fans of Irish music and dance can enjoy the Dublin-based group by watching its YouTube video.

And, some folks may be able to snag a seat for The Irish House Party show later this week: 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake.

The Irish House Party is “regarded as Dublin’s most popular traditional Irish music and dance show,” according to a press release. “The Irish House Party is entertainment with a twist.”

The “Party” is comprised of Irish musicians and dancers, and the show allows audience members to participate in the action or sit back and enjoy.

The Sun City show, offering a maximum of 380 guests, will have a Waterford Crystal door prize and Irish sweets. Tickets for tonight’s show were $8 for those who pre-registered, the release stated.

Diane Rowe, of Cary Travel Express, is the host of the Irish House Party. Rowe’s father is a Sun City resident.
