National Weather Service: Huntley Had 3.7'' Snow

Huntley reported a smaller snowfall total from the Thursday storm than many of the surrounding towns.

 

Huntley’s first snowfall total for 2012 came in a bit low compared to surrounding communities, according to National Weather Service reports.

The NWS recorded 3.7 inches of snow for the village of Huntley during the Thursday storm. The report tallied snowfall for a 24-hour period, starting at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday and continuing through Friday morning, according to the NWS.

Most of the surrounding towns in McHenry County measured between five to six inches of snow.
