Currently living in the Lake Zurich area, I was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. After finishing technical school, I packed my car and drove out west to San Jose, Calif., where I got a job at IBM. Over the years of raising four kids and continuing to work, I achieved a B.A. in liberal studies, which added to my repertoire of skills. My professional career has spanned technical positions in computer programming and operations, private educational instruction, multiple business and start-up ventures.
The prospect of doing freelance writing for the first time produces feelings of anxiety and excitement for me. I've always been interested in learning new things and meeting new people, I approach my work with Patch as one more adventure in my journey. Since the age of 13, when I was given my first 35mm camera, a Mamiya Sekor, I have found serenity behind the viewfinder. Even before the picture is taken, I can see it in my mind.
I'm so excited by the response from business owners and people in the community, who I've spoken with, and their appreciation for the service Patch is providing.
