3 HHS Marching Red Raiders Heading to Rose Parade

Three Huntley High School students chosen for American Honor Band performing at 2013 Rose Parade.

Three Huntley Marching Red Raiders have been selected by Music for All to be a member of theBands of America (BOA) Honor Band in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade.  Zoe Detlaf, Rachelle Jacobs, and Adam Sundling were selected from among hundreds of applicants across the nation to participate in this prestigious national honor band. Detlaf is a junior at Huntley High School and is the daughter of John and Deborah Detlaf. Sundling is the son of Erik and Judith Sundling and is also in his junior year. The youngest selected is sophomore Jacobs who is the daughter of Scott and Teri Jacobs. “According to the list of members, there are 14 Illinois students involved, and we are the only school with 3 students selected to participate,” said …

Red Raiders Marching Band Champs of A.A. Stagg Jamboree

Band wins title at weekend Jamboree.

The Huntley Red Raiders Marching band had a good showing at the 33rd annual A.A. Stagg Marching Band Jamboree Sept. 8 walking away with the top prize in their division and overall grand championship. The competition was held in Palos Hills and featured bands throughout the area.
