Police Blotter: Firearm Stolen in Car Burglary

Huntley police release reports.

Huntley police are investigating a car burglary that occurred last week where a suspect stole a firearm, according to reports. Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 11800 block of Main Street on May 23, police said. A firearm, camera and cash were stolen. Police did not release details on the type of gun taken. In other reports released this week: • Benjamin J. Chruscinski, 21, of 17501 Harvest Hill, Orland Park, was arrested May 23 on two counts of domestic battery, two counts of battery, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. • A burglary report was taken in the 10600 block of Carl Drive, where items were stolen from a shed on the property, police said. Huntley Man Charged with Giving Teens Access to Alcohol

A 48-year-old Huntley man is accused of letting minors drink alcohol, police said. Oscar Baez, of 10826 Cape Cod Lane, faces a charge o allowing access to alcohol by minors, reports stated. He was arrested on April 15, at the same time police arrested and charged five juveniles with consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said. The teens are aged 15 to 16 years old, reports stated. Baez and the juveniles were given a court date of May 23 in McHenry County. Police did not release additional details. In other reports released Thursday, -Michael F. Alejandro, 41, of 11809 Mill St., Huntley was arrested on April 11 for harassment by electronic communication, police said. Alejandro posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date…

Odd Theft, Bug Zapper Pinched

Theft, graffiti top Huntley police reports.

A burglar is apparently getting ready for warm weather, stealing a solar bug zapper for mosquitoes from a Huntley home, according to reports. The victim reported someone took the bug zapper from his backyard in the 11500 block of Barberry Lane sometime April 2. No word if police have any leads. In other reports released this week: -Two criminal defacement reports were taken on Heritage Drive on April 1 near the intersection of Centennial and Dundee Roads. Vandals spray-painted graffiti on a utility box and a wooden structure, police said. -Sean S. Pedersen, 27, of 9415 Rainsford Dr., Huntley, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt on March 31. Pedersen posted bond and was…

Local Man Charged with Assault

Huntley police release week's reports.

A 33-year-old Huntley man was arrested for assault, police said Wednesday. Joedy S. Martell, of 11185 Fleetwood, was arrested March 5 for assault and disorderly conduct, according to police. Martell posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of April 8. In other reports released this week:  -Kenneth W. Giese, 38, of 14052 Francesca Cove, Huntley, was arrested March 3 on an outstanding Lake County Warrant. Giese posted bond and was released with a Lake County court date of March 21, according to reports.  -Cirilo P. Preciado,50, of 803 Hayes St. Harvard, was arrested March 4 for aggravated DUI, blood alcohol content over .08, DUI and driving while license revoked, police said.
