Jamie Koy, of Crystal Lake, Arrested Again for Animal Neglect

Koy is charged with neglecting eight horses at her home at 6102 Hillside Dr., Crystal Lake.

  A Crystal Lake woman already on probation for several counts of cruelty to horses was arrested again Thursday and charged with four counts of cruel treatment. Jamie Koy, 39, 6102 E. Hillside, was arrested Thursday on animal neglect charges relating to horses in her care, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren. McHenry County Animal Control removed eight horses belonging to Koy from her Hillside Drive in Crystal Lake. The animals will be evaluated, given medical attention and will be placed with the Hooved Animal Humane Society, Nygren said in a release.  The new charges against Koy are Class 4 Felonies. Animal Control officers discovered the alleged neglect while inspecting horses belonging to Koy as part of her probation …

Sheriff: Charges Filed Against Woman in Bull Valley Animal Abuse

McHenry County Sheriff's Department announces charges against Virginia E. Dinucci. The Park Ridge woman gave up 91 animals to McHenry County Animal Control. Some of the animals are now available for adoption.

  A Park Ridge woman - who owns a Bull Valley home where 91 animals in various states of neglect were rescued  - has been charged with animal cruelty, McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies said. Virginia E. Dinucci, 54, of 1731 Pavilion Way, is charged with three counts of cruel treatment and 12 counts of owner’s duties, according to the sheriff's office. Her bond was set at $1,000. Sheriff’s deputies went to 8617 Bull Run Trail in Bull Valley on October 29 for a well being check but found 91 animals, some dead, in the home. McHenry County Animal Control officers removed 91 animals due to unsafe living conditions and inadequate care. UPDATE: 91 Animals Taken from Bull Valley Home Expected to Recover

Dogs, cats and birds are being nursed back to health, but owner hasn't relinquished them, yet, county officials said.

  The 91 animals left alone without food and water in a Bull Valley home are expected to recover. The animals were "dehydrated and very hungry," but, given time, should return to a healthy state, said Debra Quackenbush, community information officer for McHenry County Department of Health. McHenry County Animal Control collected 19 dogs, 11 cats, 3 rabbits, and 55 birds from the home at 8617 Bull Run Trail. They also found a deceased dog, cat, and bird, according to sheriff authorities. 91 Animals Taken from Woodstock Home

Homeowner not located in the home but 19 dogs, 11 cats, three rabbits, 55 birds were found alive. Sheriff’s deputies later located the homeowner in Park Ridge and an investigation is ongoing.

  McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies doing a well-being check on a Woodstock homeowner who had not been seen for weeks discovered her home was filled with 91 animals including a dead dog, cat and bird, according to reports. Deputies arrived at the home, 8617 Bull Run Trail, Monday to check on the homeowner. Due to the appearance of the home and a strong odor coming from inside, deputies entered the residence, reports stated. While the homeowner was not located, sheriff’s deputies observed several animals in the home with no visible signs of food or water, according to reports. I am hoping that this woman gets the same Judge. He is Judge Wilbrandt that the Messina's have since he is already familiar with this kind of case. He is all about the animals. I thought he handled the interveining case very well. McHenry County should be proud to have a judge like him. McHenry County Animal Control Hosts Rabies, Microchip Events

Dates set in March and April for vaccinations and microchips.

  If your pet wanders from the safety of its home, the chance of being reunited with your family is greater if your pet has a microchip for quick identification and a current rabies vaccination/registration record.  McHenry County Animal Control & Adoption Center (MCAC) will host rabies vaccination ($10) and microchip ($15) events at its Crystal Lake facility (100 N Virginia Street – corner of Woodstock Street and Route 14) on the following dates: Three-year rabies vaccinations are available for $25.
