Huntley Teacher, Coach Found Not Guilty of Theft at School

A McHenry County judge ruled Wednesday that Kimberlee L. Hoffman, a special education teacher and cheerleading coach at Huntley High School, was not guilty on a theft charge.

A Huntley special education teacher and cheerleading coach accused of stealing a student's cell phone and iPod was acquitted of a misdemeanor theft charge Wednesday, according to the Northwest Herald.  McHenry County Judge Charles P. Weech found Kimberlee L. Hoffman, 43, not guilty during a bench trial, according to the Northwest Herald.  Hoffman was accused of stealing the items from the bathroom at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, on Sept. 5. According to Huntley police, the victim placed her iPod Touch and Motorola Atrix cell phone down while in the bathroom at the school and forgot to pick up the items when she left. Huntley Teacher Charged with Theft Pleads Not Guilty

Kimberlee Hoffmann appeared in court this week and pleaded not guilty, the Northwest Herald reports.

  Huntley High School teacher Kimberlee Hoffman appeared in McHenry County court Wednesday where she pleaded not guilty to theft of mislaid or lost property, the Herald reports. Hoffmann, 42, of 1004 Kerim Court, Marengo, is charged with theft at the high school, 13719 Harmony Road, on Sept. 5. According to Huntley police, the victim placed her iPod Touch and Motorola Atrix cell phone down while in the bathroom at the school and forgot to pick up the items when she left. When she remembered that she forgot the items, she went back to the bathroom and the items were missing, reports stated.
