Injuries have been reported at the site following two explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.
Two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, killing two and injuring at least 23, according to Huffington Post. The Boston Marathon website shows that 974 people from Illinois are participating in this year's event, including three from Algonquin, nine from Crystal Lake, two from Huntley and two from Cary as well as several more throughout the Chicago suburbs. Two have been taken to the hospital following a two-car accident that happened at Route 47 and Route 176 in Lakewood around 6:30 a.m. Monday, the Lakewood Police Department toldthe Northwest Herald. The injuries sustained by a man and woman involved in the crash are not considered life-threatening, according to the article.
