Huntley High Battery Arrest A 16-year-old girl from Huntley was arrested for a battery that occurred at Huntley High School, 13710 Harmony Road, on Feb. 14, police said.. Police released the following reports this week: Political Sign Stolen A theft of a political sign was reported at the intersection of Algonquin and Haligus Roads on Feb. 4, police said. DUI Arrest Leon E. Tripp, 60, of 621 James Ct., Marengo, was arrested Feb. 4 for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08, no tail lights and failure to signal, police said. A Marengo man was arrested on a weapons charge, Huntley police said. Douglas R. Wisner, age 23, of 800 Greenlee St. #4, was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm on Jan. 20, police said. Huntley police released reports from Oct. 15 to Oct. 20: Rose A. O’Malley, 57, of 11721 Woodcreek #F, Huntley, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery on Oct.1 5, police said. A 17-year-old Algonquin woman was charged with disorderly conduct after an altercation at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road on Oct. 15, reports stated. The juvenile was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County court on November 19. Someone stole a laptop computer from a businesses in the 12300 block of Route 47 on Oct. 15, police said. Beer bottles were thrown at a residence in the 10800 block of Great Plaines on Oct. 16, police said. Joshua E. Police seek any information on the incident that occurred in the Northbridge subdivision.
A driver in a white van with red lettering approached a juvenile in the Northbridge subdivision Wednesday and police are seeking any additional information witnesses may be able to provide, according to reports. The incident occurred at 3 p.m. when the van began following a juvenile a short distance then yelled out to the juvenile, police said. The driver did not exit the vehicle, police said. The juvenile ignored the driver, who is described as a male white between the ages of 40 to 50, and ran home. The 16-year-old was not injured. Huntley police remind the community to call 911 immediately to report any suspicious incidents and provide as much detailed information as possible.
