Huntley Varsity Cheerleaders Head to State Finals Today
Competitive Varsity Cheerleading Team placed fourth at the sectionals competition in Byron this past Saturday and now heads to state.
Good Luck Huntley HS Cheer Team! Usually cheerleaders are the ones shouting, jumping and lending their support. But now Huntley High School's Varsity Cheerleading Team is giving its own fans something to cheer about. The team placed fourth on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the sectionals cheer competition in Byron, earning them a trip to the IHSA state competitive cheer finals this weekend in Bloomington. Huntley, competing in the large team division, earned a score of 86.53. Cary-Grove High School finished first in the same division with a score of 88.03, and Crystal Lake Central came out with third place, scoring 87.10, according to the IHSA results page.
