Bingo will be held on March 22 at the American Legion Hall Post 1231.
An Easter Ham will be up for grabs at two bingo events. The games will get started at 7 p.m. with doors opening at the American Legion Hall Post 1231, 1101 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills, at 6 p.m. There will be three jackpot games, cocktails and a snack bar. Another bingo event will be held at the Huntley American Legion, 11712 Coral St. in Huntley, on Monday, March 25. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the games will get started at 7 p.m. Proceeds from Huntley Bingo go to the Ewing's Sarcoma Pediatric Cancer fund. The Huntley Bingo website has more information.

Huntley Bingo will be hosting a Valentine Pajama Party on Feb. 11 at the American Legion, 11712 W. Coral St. in Huntley. Those who wear their pajamas or lounge wear will receive three free cards for 11 games and a free potluck-party breakfast will be served, according to a Huntley Bingo press release. There will also be a $1,500 jackpot game. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer.

Huntley Bingo is introducing the Daily Power Ball, just one of several creative bingo games held at its weekly game. The Daily Power Ball is 50 cents per player and if you raffle on the Power Ball (the date of the day) you win the jackpot. If there is no winner, the jackpot grows. Huntley Bingon also has a free $500 drawing. Names are entered into the drawing when you play at the American Legion, 11712 W. Coral St. in Huntley. Huntley Bingo and Your Best Friend’s Closet in Algonquin are joining forces for a benefit “One Neighbor at a Time” to help residents in Pembroke Township. Pembroke Township is located in Kankakee County and is one of the poorest communities in the country. Almost half of the residents are unemployed and the house income is about $14,000 a year, according to reports. Tonight’s game is $10 for a book and $2 for four specials. There are two jackpot games at $5 to play. Dinner for a $1 donation will be available. Huntley Bingo raises money for pediatric cancer patients and their families. Marianne Ricciardi’s son had a dying wish inspired by the children and families he saw in chemotherapy. “He said ‘You promise me if anything happens to me, you have to help these other kids,’ ” Ricciardi said. She has been trying to keep that promise since her son, Pasquale, known as Patsy, died four years ago from complications of Ewing sarcoma. The Huntley grandmother is the person behind the Huntley Bingo night every Monday at the American Legion, 11712 Coral St. “That’s how this started. My son sadly lost his battle,” she said. Huntley Bingo is hosting a special event Monday featuring Star 105.5 morning radio host Joe Cicero. Cicero is shaving his head if he raises $750 for St. Baldrick's Foundation's event at Crystal Lake Kiwanis Club, benefiting pediatric cancer. A special $500 game at Huntley Bingo will help Cicero reach his goal. Come play bingo with Joe! A free dinner buffet is offered, cocktails will be available. The cost is $10 to play bingo.
