HGTV star Michael Payne appears at Sun City Huntley expo
I have a confession that is difficult to admit because I'm suppose to be a hardened journalist who is not easily flustered or impressed. I'm crushing on HGTV star Michael Payne. Maybe it was the British accent or just the way he made everyone feel at ease. I can't explain it. I was just thoroughly charmed. Payne, the original host of the popular "Designing for the Sexes" show, appeared at Sun City Huntley's Fall Consumer Showcase Thursday during a meet and greet. Tomorrow he'll give an Interior Design Trend Report at 10 a.m. The interview happened by chance when Payne asked whether the green pin on my lapel, which had a big "P" for Patch.com, stood for his last name. I hope Mr. Payne will post his Huntley pics on his Photography site. He has some really nice pictures there. As a fellow photographer I am very impressed with how his "design eye" shows in his photos. more ›
