Crystal Lake Man Arrested after Neighbors Complain of Marijuana Odor

A Crystal Lake man was arrested on Wednesday after police received a report of a heavy odor of marijuana smoke in his apartment building. Dylan Beene, 27, of 1657 Carlemont Dr. Unit B, was arrested and charged with various drug-related offenses, according to a press release issued by Crystal Lake Police Commander Derek Hyrkas. Crystal Lake police responded to the multi-tenant residential building on Carlemont Drive to investigate a complaint of the heavy smell of cannabis in the common area of the building. During the initial stages of the investigation, officers were able to determine the smell was coming from Unit B, police said.
