Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Huntley

Between three to six inches is expected for some areas under the advisory by later this evening.

A winter weather advisory will take effect starting at noon today through 9 p.m. tonight for Huntley and much of the Chicago suburbs.  The winter storm is expected to bring with it rain or wet snow starting early in the afternoon and switching to mainly wet snow later this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.  Snow will continue into the evening commute hours and is expected to be heavy at times, according to the NWS. Huntley is expected to get 2 to 4 inches of snow today and then another 1 to 3 inches tonight, according to the NWS.
