Huntley, Centegra Talk about New Hospital Plans
Officials discuss issues like traffic and design of the Centegra-Huntley Hospital, the Northwest Herald reports.
Huntley trustees and planning commissioners met with Centegra Health System officials Thursday to talk about issues surrounding the proposed Centegra-Huntley Hospital, the Northwest Herald reports. Centegra received approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board last year for a five-story, 375,000 square foot hospital with 128 beds and a full-service emergency room with a Level II trauma center and Level II special care nursery. The building would also have a helipad for transferring critical need patients. Thursday marked the beginning of the review process for Centegra’s plans. It hopes to break ground by October. The public will get a chance to weigh in on the plans through public hearings scheduled 6:30 p.m. …

I asked a similar question at the VOH meeting Thursday night to the Centegra executive sitting near me. Currently they plan to build one helicopter pad to accommodate Flights of Life and transfers between hospitals(rare situations). Is that what you mean?   more ›
