Woman Charged with DUI in Route 47 Crash
Amber S. Nelson, 32, of Hebron, was charged with DUI and other traffic citations following a car crash on Route 47 late Tuesday night.
A Hebron woman was charged today with driving under the influence after her car crossed the center line on Route 47 and collided with a tractor trailer, McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren said. Amber S. Nelson, 32, 11102 Seaman Rd., is recovering from injuries she sustained the late Tuesday night accident at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, Nygren said in a release. Sheriff deputies met with Nelson at the hospital and learned her medical blood draw for blood-alcohol content was over the legal limit, Nygren said. She was then formally charged with DUI. Nelson was driving a 1997 Chevrolet sedan at about 10:47 p.m. on Route 47 south of State Line Road in unincorporated Hebron. She was traveling southbound and collided with a semi …
