Children's Charity Holding Fundraiser

Whether you're an avid runner, beginner, or a first timer, our race is perfect for everyone!

It’s Our Little Secret, a nonprofit that helps empower children who’ve been sexually abused, invites participants to race for a child or children for "Child Appreciation"

The race will be held at 9am, April 23 in the Tomaso Sports Complex of the Talamore Community, located at 11950 Ackman Road in Huntley.

Course Info: Flat asphalt and concrete course. Water available along the course. Hear split times at each mile mark.

5K Route: the 3.1 mile course will begin at the Tomaso Sign in the Tomaso Sports Complex of Talamore Community in Huntley. Course map available

 1-Mile Route: Walkers will begin at the Tomaso sign 15 minutes after the 5K begins, following Ackman Road turning onto the newly constructed asphalt recreation path through Talamore, finishing at the Tomaso Pavillion. Course map available

Kids 50 Yard Dash: Children 12 & under only. No registration required.  All participating children will receive a prize.

Post Race: Sponsored food/beverages will be offered. Children can Meet a Police Officer and Fireman.  An egg hunt will follow dash and a special bunny will greet children.

Awards: Event T-shirts will be given to all registrants (5K & 1-mile participants only) Top 5K finishers in designated age groups will receive an award.  Race results will be posted on IOLS website after race. Age groups: 11 and under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

Overall 5K winner will receive trophie and or prizes.  A prize to the overall runner for both male and female who signed up for a child or children will be awarded a one night stay at a tbd hotel/waterpark.  Great for family time!!
