Team 'One G1RLZ' Explains "Why we Relay"

"The reason why we relay is in our team name "One G1RLZ". Last year I had the privilege and honor of working with  indie/pop artist, Shuree. She is an amazing musical talent whose mission, hit single, and mantra are that "One Girl Can Change the World". Working with her made me realize that if all of us truly did our part, there could indeed be a difference made in the lives of others. Our team of One G1RLZ believe that change begins with just one person who is ready to BE the change. Each of us know and have been deeply moved by those who have fought battles with cancer. For some, participating in this relay is for a mother who's life is being remembered. For others, it's for an aunt who's being celebrated. And for others, it's for a loved one who is currently walking through this arduous journey. Our lives have all been touched by their tenacity, their courage, and their strength. We relay because we want to honor their lives and offer hope to those in the midst of their own battle with cancer. We want to rally others to come alongside of us as we seek to raise awareness and financial support for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Cancer is vicious and is no respecter of persons, but together, we can stand strong and fight. Together, we CAN make a difference in life. Indeed, One G1RL... can change the world!"
