Enrollment is starting soon for many summer camps. Here are just a few of the many summer camps available in and around Huntley.

Camp Seedlings

Information: A day camp for preschoolers that features theme days like science day, movie day and sports day. There will be sing-a-longs, campfires, games and other camp fun.

Camp Play All-Day, Camp Laugh-a-lot, Camp Adventure

Information: A camp named Play-All Day and Laugh-a-Lot? Sign us up. These camps are for children in kindergarten to fifth grade. Camps focus on adventure, friendship, fun, exploration, discovery and safety, the park district’s website states.

Rec Teen Camp

Information: Camp isn’t just for the little ones, teens can join the fun in their own camp. This camp features field trips including one to an enchanged castle, a water park and a WNBA game. There’s also a camp dance party with a DJ and karaoke.

Let’s Clay and Play

Information: What’s more fun than playing with clay? Children will learn the basics of clay and make projects in this camp.

Under the Sea Camp

Information: Explore life under the sea through drawings, crafts and painting. This is a mini camp for ages 5 to 10 years-old.

Traditional Summer Camp

The YMCA has four resident camps located in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan that offer traditional sleep-away camp. A few locations:

Camp Duncan

Where: Near Fox Lake, Il.

Campers stay in cabins and are grouped according to age and gender. Children are always under staff supervision as they swim, do rope courses, archery, nature hikes and other activities.

Family Camp Nawakwa

Where: Lac de Flambeau, Wis.

Information: Parents can relive summer camp memories, or create new ones, at this unique family camp. The camp is home to the Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.

Chicago Storm Soccer Camps

Where: 700 Highland Ave., Algonquin

Information: Chicago Storm Soccer Camps gives children a chance to work with professional and collegiate soccer players and coaches. Campers will work on skills and build new ones.

Trinity Lutheran Church

Where: 11008 North Church St., Huntley

Information: This summer’s vacation bible school is “Athens: Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth.” The camp will be held June 10-14.
