Fourth of July: What's Closed, What's Open

A guide for the Fourth of July closures.

 

In honor of the Fourth of July, many offices and agencies are closed.

  • All government offices are closed. This includes the village of Huntley, McHenry County, state of Illinois and federal government.
  • Area police and fire departments will be open on the Fourth. Contact 911 in the event of a police- or fire-related emergency.
  • The Huntley Area Public Library will be closed.
  • Banks are closed today. ATMs remain open.
  • The Huntley Chamber of Commerce will be closed.
  • The Post Office is closed today and there is no mail delivery.
  • Businesses are operating on their own hours. Please check in advance to see whether they are open.

The Huntley Outlet Center, 11800 Factory Shops Blvd., will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and many stores are having Fourth of July sales. The center's parking lot will be open for Huntley's Fourth of July fireworks beginning at dusk.
