All American Family Fun Day at Huntley Farmers Market

This weekend's farmers market is filled with family activities.

 

The Fourth of July holiday celebration continues through Saturday at Huntley’s Farmers Market with the All American Family Fun Day.

A highlight of the day is the Around the Block parade where children and their families are invited to decorate bikes, strollers, even pets, for a parade around the block.

Materials to use for decorations will be available at 10 a.m. at the Farmers Market provided by the Huntley Jaycees.

The parade begins at 11:45 a.m. on Church and Coral streets, to Main Street to Woodstock Street to 1st street and back to Church Street.

Families can explore the Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. School Street Bistro and Tropical Smoothing Café will have food for sale. And families can enjoy the Peter Guerin Show at 11 a.m.

The day’s activities include:

 

  • Craft Fair

        8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • FREE Family Bingo

        10 a.m.

        Sponsored by the Huntley Chamber of Commerce.

  • Kids Games, Face Painting, Moon Walk and more!

        9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

  • Meet Culver's Scoopy

        Enjoy some delicious frozen custard with all proceeds going to the Special  Olympics.

The village of Huntley sponsors the Farmers Market. The following organization helped with the All American Family Fun Day: Shepherd of the Prairie Church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Girl Scout Troop #828, Grafton Food Pantry, the Huntley Area Jaycees and the Huntley Chamber of Commerce.

The Farmers Market is held on the Square, located at the corner of Coral and Church streets from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October 13.
