Weather Wrecks Havoc on Red Raiders Sports Schedule

Games rescheduled due to spring snow and cold

This week was going to be a light one for Huntley athletics anyway with the spring season just getting started but with the late week weather, the Red Raiders’ schedule all got cancelled for Saturday. The soccer invitational has not been rescheduled yet while Huntley’s baseball games against Hoffman Estates and softball games against South Elgin were cancelled.

The only events to be completed this week were the first two games of the Huntley Invitational with the Red Raiders defeating Marengo 5-0 on Thursday and a 1-0 victory over Glenbard North on Friday. With Spring Break occurring this coming week, many games will be played during the day instead of late afternoon. Here is a look at the schedule of Huntley athletics for next week, weather permitting.

Monday will bring the beginning of the baseball season with a trip to Marengo for an 11 a.m. start. On Tuesday, boys tennis begins their season with a home match against Woodstock North at 4 p.m. while the baseball team travels to Barrington at 4:15 p.m. and girls soccer heads to Woodstock North for a 4:30 p.m. game.
