Scholarship Committee members Rita McMahon, Jean Hernandez, and Roger Schroepfer, reported receiving 42 applications this year and interviewed 21 students before deciding on the final six students.
“There were many excellent candidates who applied and it was very hard to narrow them down to only 21 students who moved on for the interview process,” Hernandez said.

Attending the Senior Awards Night is an honor that McMahon looks forward to each year.
“It is such a great experience to hear all the wonderful accomplishments of our students,” said McMahon.
The Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of business and community leaders, parents, teachers, and staff members who seek and make available resources to enhance learning for all District 158 students through the awarding of teacher grants and scholarships for college-bound students.
