Jacobs Athlete of the Week: Becca Jobst

In the words of Jacobs athletic director Dan Vosnos:

Golden Eagle volleyball is based on tenacious defense and that encapsulates the way Becca plays.  As the scrappiest defender for the eagles she lights the fire in us by picking up the toughest shots.  Her never say die attitude shows in each and every play and as the libero, she seems to be everywhere on the court (sometimes we swear there is more than one of her), picking up tips, rolls, hits and covering her hitters.  She gives us second and third chances which is vital against the tough opponents of the FVC. 

Off the court she takes her role as captain seriously giving advice and help to the younger players in the program.  She is a true mentor and role model for the lower levels and the youngsters on the JV/Varsity team.  Becca is the kind of player that coaches and players love to have on a team.  Every day she sets the standard as to how Jacobs Volleyball plays defense.
