Huntley Girls Basketball Finishes Fourth at State

The girls headed to Normal this past weekend to compete in Class 4A state tournament.

For the first time in the school's history, the Huntley girls basketball team competed at the state tournament this past weekend.

The girls took on Rolling Meadows High School in their first game Friday, losing 61-44. The girls returned on Saturday to battle Whitney Young High School in Chicago, losing 60-27 and taking home the fourth place finish in the Class 4A state finals, according to the Daily Herald. 

Rolling Meadows High School continued on to the championship where they lost in a close game against Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, 47-48, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
