Huntley Athlete of the Week: Amy Kahl

The girls cross country runner is this week's athlete of the week.

Amy Kahl, a senior, led the Red Raiders to a first-place finish on Sept. 17 at the Ryan Byrne Invitational in Woodstock while finishing first in her flighted race with a time of 20:13 for the 3-mile course. Kahl added a third-place finish Tuesday in McHenry with a time of 19:40 over three miles.

This week's other nominations:

Boys Golf- Ryan Craig and the whole team after breaking a school record while Craig broke a school and course record Saturday with a 6-under par 65 at the Fran Noyes Invitational

Boys Cross Country- Nick Meyer. Meyer finished second in McHenry on Tuesday

Girls Golf- Danielle Smith. Smith broke 100 for the first time on Sept. 17 at the Mundelein Tournament

Girls Tennis- Kayla Garcia. Garcia went 3-1 last week with only a loss against Crystal Lake South

Volleyball- Eli Manning
