Huntley High Girls Track Athletes Qualify for State

Huntley High School placed third overall at the sectional meet in Belvidere last week.

Several local girls track and field athletes will be headed to the state meet at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston this Thursday through Saturday. 

The Huntley High School girls track team placed third overall at the Belvidere (North) girls sectional track and field meet on May 9 with 59 points. Rockton Hononegah came in first place with 85 points while Cary-Grove High School came in second place with 75 points, according to preliminary results posted on the IHSA website.

Huntley High School

  • Delaney Lyman, sophomore, qualified for state in the pole vault with a mark of 10-03.00
  • Omo Tseumah, senior, placed second in the high jump with a mark of 5-05.00
  • Macy Trambley, sophomore, placed first in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.18
  • Anthonia Moore, senior, placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.32
