Leggee Elementary Seeks Help To Win School Contest

Top 100 schools get cash for field trips.

The Leggee Elementary School parent is trying to help the school win a contest held by Kleenex that could earn Leggee $5,000.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our school and it will greatly enhance our children's education,” Willis said.

Kleenex is giving $5,000 to every school in the Top 100 and Leggee is currently ranked number 92, Willis said.

There are three days left to stay on the top 100 list, she said. The contest ends Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Here's how to help:

  • Go to: http://www.facebook.com/kleenex (In order for your vote to count you have to be a Facebook user and register with the Field Trips app.)

To register:

  • Click field trips tab and "Like" Kleenex brand
  • Click support your school pink button and accept the permission request
  • Click support your school pink button on the welcome page.
  • On the personal info page, enter the zip code (60142) associated to your school
  • A search should be performed and schools in that zip should be displayed
  • Click on the name of the school you want to support (Leggee Elementary)
  • Click on the support your school button on the "my school" details page
  • Click "confirm" on the pop up
  • Check that your name is displayed on the list of supporters for Leggee Elementary.

Mission completed!

Leggee is located on the Harmony Road Campus and has 1,060 students ranging from Kindergarten to fifth grade, Willis said. The cash from the contest would be used for field trips for all grades.
