Huntley Attorney Appointed to District 158 School Board

Michael Fleck fills vacant seat on board a seat he will run for in the April election, the Daily Herald reports.

 

District 158 school board members chose Huntley attorney Michael Fleck to fill a vacant seat, the Daily Herald reports.

Michael Fleck fills a seat available due to the resignation of Michael Skala, who served as board president. Skala won election in November to the McHenry County Board.

Fleck’s name will appear on the April ballot. District 158 Board members Kimberly Skaja, Paul Troy and Board President Don Drzal are running for reelection, the Herald reports. The seats are uncontested.

A partner in Fleck and Meyers, Fleck was an environmental chemist and consultant who received a patent in 1995 for his invention of a high-tech carbon monoxide air filtration unit, according to his biography on the firm’s website.

He has been involved in the Huntley area since he opened his practice and has served on the Huntley Library District Board of Trustees as well as the McHenry County Bar Association, the site states. Fleck is also active in the Huntley Chamber of Commerce.
