Dimensions Counseling Presents ....Strategies for Reducing Risky Behavior - Presentation
Today’s youth face significant challenges; so do parents. This presentation will highlight challenges related to alcohol and/or drug use, violence, sexuality, and internet/involvement & safety. Factors that influence these behaviors (brain development, belief systems, media, peers and parents) will be discussed along with current trends. Attendees will learn strategies to prevent and/or reduce involvement, how to identify involvement and how to access help if needed. Registration is required as seating is limited. About the Presenter: Dawn M. Nendze, BA, CADC is a Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor and Prevention Specialist. Mrs. Nendze has worked in the field for 13 years providing substance abuse treatment to both adolescents and adults and prevention services to all-age youth, parents and our community at large.
