District 158 Education Foundation raising funds through Dance-A-Thon.

The District 158 Education Foundation is thrilled to announce their first ever Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser.

The dance-a-thon will be held from 11am to 7pm, Saturday, March 19 at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, Lake In The Hills.

This event is open to all students, kindergarten through high school, as well as parents and community members. It promises to be filled with eight hours of great music, dancing, and lots of fun.

Participants will register as dancers and collect pledges for their dancing efforts; $10 registration fee and a minimum $20 pledge amount per dancer. Registration fee includes beverages, lunch, and dinner. Registration forms are available at each school office and on the D158 Education Foundation website at www.district158.org/education-foundation.

Students who register before Feb. 25 will be entered into a raffle for some really great prizes including an iPod shuffle and a Motorola cellular phone, valued at over $400.

ETV Productions will provide our DJ services and will play music that will span the decades. So dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to hit the dance floor.  Can’t dance? For a $1 donation you can drop in as a spectator. Concessions will be available.

Proceeds will benefit every student in every District 158 school through the awarding of grants and scholarships, and the distribution of funds to enrich and enhance educational opportunities to assist students in achieving academic excellence.
