District 300, 158: School Canceled Again for Tuesday

No school again on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for students in Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Cary and Prairie Grove.

The extreme cold temperatures are forcing the closure of area schools for a second day.

Local school districts at noon Monday already began notifying parents and students of school cancelations for Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Here is the list of closures so far:

  • Community Unit School District 300

  • Consolidated School District 158 
  • Crystal Lake Community School District 47

  • Cary School District 26

  • Sts. Peter and Paul School in Cary

  • Trinity Oaks Christian Academy

  • Immanuel Lutheran School in Crystal Lake

  • Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock

  • Community High School District 155

  • Prairie Grove School District 46

  • Fox River Grove District 3

  • Marengo Elementary District 165

  • Marengo High School District 154
