2 Huntley High Students Named Jurs/Raider Way Outstanding Students of Month

Senior and sophomore named November students of the month.

 

Jason Trovela and Stephanie Kominiak were selected as the Jurs/Raider Way Outstanding Students of the Month for November.

The Jurs/Raider Way Outstanding Student of the Month, started by Huntley resident Homas Jurs, recognizes students who exhibit the qualities of the Raider Way: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Involved.

Trovela is a senior and is very involved in school and the local community. He is a member of the Huntley High School Link Crew and serves as president of the HHS Psychology Club. 

He is also the president of the Co-op Program that links Huntley High School students with employers in the local community. Trovela is deeply involved with the PBIS Raider Way Reward Program and serves as the Co-President of Friends of Rachel Organization. He is an avid volunteer who represents Huntley High School well.

Kominiak, a sophomore, is always willing to donate her time to help students and faculty alike.  She is a member of Student Council and Community Service Club and played an intricate part in organizing the Homecoming Parade and events.  She is also a member of the HHS Baking Club. Kominiak helps tutor students in her spare time and is extremely committed to promoting and supporting various activities through the religious education program at her church.
