Human Trafficking Event to Feature Rep. Hultgren

Washington, DC — U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) will be a featured panelist at the Celebrating Life Unity Breakfast, hosted by Patriots United, on Saturday, February 8 to address the scourge of human trafficking and its threat to our communities.

“Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world, but this epidemic is happening in our own backyard,” said Rep. Hultgren. “We must be vigilant in our own communities, and I look forward to addressing how we can put an end to this horrific crime and bring hope to its victims in Illinois and across the world.”

Rep. Hultgren has made combating human trafficking a priority in Washington as a member of the Congressional Human Trafficking Caucus. This past summer, he hosted a screening for Members of Congress and their staff of Nefarious: Merchant of Souls, a documentary that unveils the hidden world of sex slavery as recounted by former victims and traffickers. He has co-sponsored the Fraudulent Overseas Recruitment and Trafficking Elimination Act of 2013 (H.R. 3344) and is an original co-sponsor of H.Con.Res. 66, a House Resolution urging that children trafficked in the United States be treated as victims of crime, and not as perpetrators.

Those convicted of Human Trafficking should lose there citizenship forever if they are a US Citizen--as well as pay for their crime. It is taking the freedom rights away from a human being----and this country was founded on freedom as a human right. Every year the law makers also create laws restricting our freedoms and these too are walking the line.

that's what happen when you fail to enforce to securing the boarders. A lot of women are smuggled across the boarder only to pay with their bodies for freedom if it ever happens. Don't sugarcoat the truth "fastest growing criminal industry i" BS drugs are !!!!!!!!!! secure the boarders!

Randy Hultgren can't be too concerned about women...he voted against the Violence Against Women Act...that became law without his vote.
