Traffic Alert: North Street Remains Closed

North Street, east of Route 47, will remain closed until Tuesday, Aug. 9 as Illinois Department of Transportation crews continue working on the Route 47 widening project.

This week, paving work will continue on the east side of Route 47 between Algonquin and Reed roads, IDOT said in its weekly update. There will be large machinery and heavy construction traffic in the area so expect longer delays than usual, according to IDOT.

Drivers should take note of new temporary entrances to businesses on the east side of Route 47 between Main Street and Algonquin Road, IDOT said.

A reminder, these business remain open and the village of Huntley encourages people to shop Huntley first, according to its website.
