Route 47 Construction Starts Anew

Crews will be out on Monday and expect a road closure on Tuesday.

Spring is here and so is Route 47 construction.

The Illinois Department of Transportation construction crews will be out continuing the Route 47 roadwork on Monday for the 2011 construction season, the village of Huntley announced in an email release.

This week, work will be focused in the area north of Main Street, officials said. Driveways may be blocked temporarily during this phase.

Huntley offers updates on its website and you can sign up for construction alerts on the site. The village continues to remind people “businesses are open and accessible during” the construction project and encourages residents to “shop Huntley first" on its website.
