Paving Continues as Route 47 Work Progresses
Be alert for flaggers in construction zone.
The Illinois Department of Transportation is continuing to do paving work on Dean Street, east of Route 47 this week.
IDOT’s weekly Route 47 construction update stated there will also be more work done on Mill Street.
Flaggers will be in both areas so expect delays.

The Route 47 entrances to the Centegra facility and Castle Bank are closed and there are detour signs up, IDOT stated.
Sanitary sewers and water main work continues on Route 47 between Main and Kenneth streets, according to the release.

A reminder, pedestrians and bicyclist are urged to stay out of construction zones on Route 47, according to the village of Huntley’s website. These zones are extremely hazardous, it stated.
