The McHenry County GOP party invites Mitt Romney supporters to a debate-watch party as Romney squares off against President Barack Obama in their first debate Wednesday.

“This should be a lively debate and watching it together as a group will make the evening even more enjoyable,” said McHenry County GOP Chairman Mike Tryon said in a release. “We’ll have a limited number of Romney yard signs and bumper stickers for those who attend.”

The GOP will also host another debate-watching party at its new campaign headquarters on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. when Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden square off in what should be a fascinating debate. Food and drinks will be provided.

The Republican Party of McHenry County’s opened its GOP campaign headquarters recently in at an office located at 22 Crystal Lake Plaza, on Route 14, just a few doors down from Joseph’s grocery store.

“This Crystal Lake Plaza location provides us with great visibility and a lot of room for our volunteers to work on many key projects,” Tryon said in a press release. “People are welcome to stop in and pick up Romney yard signs, Romney/Ryan bumper stickers, GOP T-shirts, and yard signs for most of the Republican candidates in McHenry County.“

“We can also assist people with finding their polling places and with learning about how the new maps affect who their candidates will be,” Tyron said.

Through the November 6 General Election, volunteers will staff the office from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The office is always looking for enthusiastic Republican volunteers. Those interested volunteering should contact the campaign office at 815-444-1910.
