What is the primary reason you are running for this office? Wish to expand the commercial, retail, housing, and job growth of Huntley via working with the Business Development Office of the Village of Huntley, the Huntley Chamber of Commerce, McHenry and Kane Counties, and Grafton, Rutland, and Hampshire Townships.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected? To market Huntley to developers as the premier area for business location or relocation.

What are the top three issues facing Huntley residents? Lack of transportation options (bus service to train stations; bike paths; parking downtown); lack of local job opportunities; and lack of choice re  where to put out-of-town guests (hotel),  shopping at mom and pop clothing stores, craft stores and others,  where to go for entertainment (need a movie theater and need a quality "white-table-cloth" type sit-in restaurant); and there is a fourth issue in my opinion: need to attract developers who will re-vitalize Huntley's downtown and re-purpose many of the aging structures so that they retain historic charm and attract visitors to the square.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? Involved with the Civilian Police Academy (current vice-president) so that I have knowledge of police procedures and their activities; involved with The Huntley Historical Society (current vice-president) which gives me the perspective of the long-time Huntley residents who want to memorialize their heritage and culture; former member of District 158's financial advisory committee which gave me the experience in understanding the school system budget and their tax levies; facilitated the first time entry of Sun City into Huntley's Fall Fest (2012) as a member of the Sun City Marketing Advisory Committee; and finally, I am able to bridge the gap between the seniors in Sun City and the seniors in Huntley as well as the seniors in Huntley and the younger residents of Huntley.

Anything else you would like to add?

There is currently one Sun City resident who sits on the VOH Board while Sun City comprises roughly 40% of Huntley. An additional voice is needed to represent the needs of that community especially with the likely appearance of cottage industries which will develop as a result of the appearance of Centegra Hospital , Alden Corporation, and the Heritage Woods campus.
