“We are very happy with the bid process,” Amour said during Thursday’s village board meeting.

Plote’s bid is $695,930.00 for .89 miles of village streets including Huntley Cemetery on Dean Street.  The work in this year’s program includes grinding, curb, gutter and spot repair.

Huntley became eligible for additional Motor Fuel Tax funds _ $176,800 _ last year through High Growth Allotmen and Illinois Jobs Now which allows the village to complete additional work this year, Amour said.

Construction will begin in mid-June and be completed by mid-August, Amour said.

The streets on this year’s list include:

  • Joan Avenue
  • Cindy Jo Avenue
  • Church Street
  • Kenneth Avenue
  • Edward Avenue
  • Bernice Avenue
  • Kiley Drive
  • Bakley Street
  • Douglas Avenue
  • Charles Street
  • South Union Road

Village trustees will vote this week on the 2012 program.
