Dean Street Detour

Updated Tuesday, May 10: IDOT says Dean Street will be closed between Route 47 and Wood Creek Drive from 7am to 5pm Wednesday.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will be shutting down Dean Street, between Route 47 and Wood Creek Drive, this week to continue work on Route 47, Huntley officials said.

IDOT’s weekly construction update stated traffic on Dean Street will be detoured to Mill Street on Tuesday.

Residents and businesses on west Mill Street may have their water shutoff Wednesday due to watermain work in the area, but IDOT will notify those affect by the shutoff in advance.

No lane closures are expected. Traffic access will remain open at Route 47 and Mill Street.

If you are contacted about water interruptions or boil orders, visit Huntley’s website to get info. Boil orders usually last 36 hours, the village said.
