Teen Caught with Drugs, Facing Charges

Drug arrest tops Huntley police blotter.

A Huntley teen was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 17, police said.

The 17-year-old was transported to McHenry County jail to await bond call. No further details were available.

-A bicycle was reported stolen out of an unlocked garage in the 11800 block of  Cape Cod Lane on May 16.

-An iPod touch was reported stolen in the 12300 block of Bartlet Court on May 17.

-Officers responded to a theft call at a business in the 12300 block of Route 47 on May 17.  The victim states that someone stole her I-Phone from her shopping cart.

-An attempted burglary to business report was taken in the 10700 block of
Dundee Road, police said. The glass on the front door was shattered on May 18.

-Alfredo Arriaga, 19, of 5523 Danbury Circle, Lake in the Hills, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, displaying a false insurance card and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle on May 18, according to police. Arriaga posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of June 17.

-Ann M. Miller, 39, of 1569 Rolling Hills, Crystal Lake, was arrested and charged with attempted theft on May 18.  Ms. Miller posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of July 15, 2011.

-A residential burglary report was taken in the 12000 block of Stonewater Crossing on May 18, according to reports. Unknown subjects forced entry to the home and stole cash and jewelry, police said.

-A criminal trespass report was taken at a garage in the 11700 block of  Woodcreek Drive on May 19, police said.

-Three juveniles were charged with possession of tobacco by a minor at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, on May 20, according to police reports. All the juveniles were released with a McHenry County court date of June 13.

-Sabrina B. Kleist, 32 of 7500 Elmhurst Rd. #72, Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, using a cell phone in a construction area and driving an uninsured motor vehicle on May 20, police said. Kleist posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of June 10.

-A disorderly conduct report was taken in the 10200 block of Cindy Jo Drive on May 20. No further details were released.

-A forgery report was taken at a bank in the 12100 block of Regency Square Parkway on May 20.  Counterfeit currency was found, police said.

-Louis Zapeda, 29, of 12 Pine St., Carpentersville, was arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer. Zapeda posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of  June 24.

-William Gomez, 25, of 10418 Scott Dr., Huntley, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery on May 21, police said. Gomez was transported to McHenry County Jail to await bond call.

-A fraud report was taken in the 11100 block of Victoria Lane on May 22, according to police.  A counterfeit check was cashed against the victim’s checking account, reports stated.

- Russell Palermo, 45, of 11313 Douglas St, Huntley was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and was cited for disregarding a traffic control device on May 22, police said. Palermo posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of July 1.
