Police Blotter: Theft, Disorderly Conduct at High School

Huntley police release reports for the week ending Jan. 17.

Suspended License

Daniel D. Wyant, 33, 547 Holiday Drive, Somonauk, was arrested Jan. 10, on charges of driving with a suspended license, expired registration and driving without insurance. Wyant posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 24 in McHenry County Court.

Theft

Police received a theft report Jan. 10 in the parking lot of the 12300 block of Route 47. The victim inadvertently left her purse in a shopping cart for more than an hour. When she returned to retrieve it, the cash was stolen from the purse.

A student reported that his iPod Touch was stolen from his backpack Jan. 12 at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road.

Outstanding Warrant

Juan M. Cardona, 36, 11612 Pineway, Unit A, Huntley, was arrested Jan. 12 on charges of driving while license revoked and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Cardona also was arrested on an outstanding DuPage County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Cardona posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 24 in McHenry County Court, and on Feb. 13 in DuPage County Court.

Disorderly Conduct

A 17-year-old Huntley girl was arrested Jan. 13, on a charge of disorderly conduct at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road. The juvenile was released to her parents and will attend peer jury.
