Huntley Police Blotter: Hampshire Man Charged in Car Burglaries

Huntley police release this week's reports.

A 30-year-old Hampshire man is charged with four counts of burglary, Huntley police said.

Gerald Walsh, of 222 South Ave., also faces one count of criminal trespass to a vehicle, according to reports.

Officers received a report of a person looking into parked cars around 3:30 a.m. July 18 in the Woodcreek apartment complex, police said. A 2003 Ford Windstar was spotted leaving the area, so police conducted a traffic stop and obtained evidence that the driver, Walsh, was responsible for four car burglaries, police said.

In other reports released this week:

  • An attempted burglary report was taken at a business in the 11400 block of Allison Court on July 18.
  • Valerie Torres, 34, of 5856 Devontry Drive, El Paso, Texas, was arrested on charges of driving with no valid driver’s license and speeding in a construction zone on July 18, police said. Torres posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Aug. 19.
  • Eduardo Osorio Perez, 23, of 814 Dorman, Streamwood, was arrested on a charge of driving on a suspended license on July 20, according to reports. He was cited with registration suspended for noninsurance, police said. Osorio-Perez posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Aug. 19.
  • A Chicago woman, Fabiola Tovar, 31, of 1821 W. Chase Ave., Chicago, was arrested July 21 on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. She also was cited with parking on a roadway. Tovar posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Sept. 2.
  • A residential burglary was reported in the 11900 block of Summer Ridge Lane on July 22, police said.
  • A criminal damage to property report was taken in the 13800 block of Fieldstone Drive on July 23. A golf ball shattered a window.
