Police Blotter: Father, Son Arrested in Family Dispute

Huntley police release weekly reports.

A father and son were arrested and charged with domestic battery following a family gathering at a Huntley home, police said.

Michael F. Alejandro,  41, and Michael V. Alejandro, 19, both of 11809 Mill St., Huntley, were each charged with domestic battery and domestic battery insulting and provoking, according to reports.

 said the two were at a family gathering Aug. 21 when an argument erupted between the senior Alejandro and his sister, a 31-year-old woman. Alejandro allegedly slapped her and his son pulled his aunt’s hair, police said.

The sister signed a complaint against both men, police said.

Both were transported to McHenry County Jail to await bond call.

In other reports released this week, police said:

  • Construction materials were stolen Aug. 15 from a site in Huntley. No further details were released.
  • Someone stole an air-conditioning unit from a home in the 10500 block of Capital Lane on Aug. 16.
  • A burglary report was taken at a business in the 11100 block of Church Street, where walls and light fixtures were damaged on Aug. 16.
  • A theft report was taken in the 10500 block of Savannah Court on Aug. 16. A green GT BMX-style bicycle with white handlebars was reported stolen.
  • A criminal property damage report was taken at a business in the 0100 block of Route 47 on Aug. 17.  Rocks were thrown though two windows.
  • A criminal property damage report was taken at a residence in the 11800 block of Davis Lane on Aug. 17. A window, front door and door jam were damaged.
  • A residential burglary report was taken in the 12900 block of Illinois Drive. Cash and jewelry were reported stolen Aug. 18.
