Police Blotter: DUI Charges Against Lake in the Hills Man

Huntley police release weekly reports.

A Lake in the Hills man faces multiple drunken-driving charges, police said.

Nicholas A. Costa,  22, of 2660 Melbourne Lane, Lake in the Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, and was cited with improper lane use on Aug. 8, according to reports. Costa posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Sept.16.

  • A 17-year-old Huntley boy was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal damage to state-supported property and consumption of alcohol by a minor on Aug. 13, police said. The boy’s name was not released.
  • Jeffrey E. Sebastian, 18, of 10105 Clearwater Way, Huntley, was charged with retail theft on Aug.8, police said. Sebastian posted bond and was released with a Kane County court date of Sept. 1.
  • Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported in the 11000 block of Church St., where a white substance was poured on a vehicle, damaging the paint, on Aug. 10.
  • Dennis A. Bree, 31, of 103 Beach Court, Algonquin, was charged with battery Aug. 12, police said. Bree posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Sept. 23.
  • A fraud report was taken in the 10900 block of Greywall Lane on Aug. 13. The victim told police that fraudulent charges were made to her credit card.
