McHenry County Sheriff Issues CrimeStoppers Alert About Marengo Burglaries

Sheriff's office seeks information about crimes.

 

Residents should be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles and people, after three daytime residential burglaries involving jewelry, flat-screen televisions, and firearms have been reported, McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren said Friday.

Three daytime residential burglaries were reported in unincorporated Marengo on May 29. All of the burglaries involved forced entry to single family homes, while residents were away.

In the past, burglars have used the ruse of asking for directions if a homeowner answered the door.
