Huntley Police: Drug Possession, DUI Arrest, Burglaries

Police reports from the week of April 1.

 

Note: The following information was obtained from Huntley Police Department arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

A 15-year-old boy from Huntley was charged with possession of a controlled substance on April 1, police said. In the same incident a 16-year-old girl from Lake in the Hills was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, police said. Both juveniles were released to their parents and will be petitioned into McHenry County juvenile court.

Timothy L. Bartlett, 49, of 13700 Wilshire Way, Huntley, was charged with battery on April 2, according to reports. Bartlett was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County court on May 13.

A Nintendo 3DS was stolen from a student’s backpack at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, on April 2, reports stated. The same day, a PlayStation Vista was reported stolen from another student’s backpack, police said.

Lampshades, doors, a mirror and a glass shelf were damaged in the 10700 block of Woodstock St. on April 2, reports stated.

A range and washer were stolen from a vacant home in the 11700 block of Cape Code Lane on April 3, police said. Another burglary at a second vacant house in the 11500 block of Grand Canyon where someone took a range and clothes dryer on April 4, police said.

Juan N. Silva, 20, of 717 Ridge, Marengo, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on April 3, police said.

A criminal damage to vehicle report was taken at a business parking lot in the 12300 block of Route 47. The victim stated that he parked his car there for several days, when he returned someone had keyed his car, slashed one of the tires and dented one of the car doors, according to a report filed April 5.

Thomas B. Galgay, 56, of 1383 Roosevelt, Huntley, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol over .08, driving in the wrong lane, failure to signal and open alcohol on April 7, police said. Galgay posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 26.

Kathryn J. Lareno, 50, of 11284 Caldwell, Huntley, was arrested on April 7 for disorderly conduct and an outstanding Grundy County warrant for failure to appear in court, police said.
