Huntley Police Report DUI Arrests

Huntley woman, Elgin man among those arrested on DUI charges.

A Huntley woman was arrested on several DUI charges, police said.

Merri L. Larson, 46, of 40W518 Freeman Road, was arrested on March 23 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over .08 and an outstanding Kane County warrant, Huntley police said.

She was also cited for display of expired registration, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, displaying a false insurance card and no driver’s license on person, reports stated.

Larson posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of April 15 and a Kane County court date of April 13.

-Kristin C. Hedberg, 25, of 11244 Caldwell Dr., Huntley, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery on March 27, police said. Hedberg was transported to McHenry County jail to await bond call.

- An Elgin man, Michael P. Keating, 31, of 11N220 Wildwood Drive, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for speeding and improper lane use on March 26, police said. Keating posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 13.

-Someone dumped 17 political signs and two traffic cones in the 10900 block of Sawgrass Lane, police said. The property owners filed a dumping complaint on March 27 after finding the signs and cones in their yard, police said.

-Two unrelated arrests were made at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, last week. A 15-year-old male from Huntley was arrested for possession of controlled substance on March 23, police said. The juvenile was released to his father and will attend peer jury. In the second incident, a 14-year-old female from Huntley was charged with disorderly conduct on March 24. The juvenile was released to her parents and will be petitioned into juvenile court.

-A theft of service report was taken in the 10000 block of Yarley Drive on March 26.  A taxi cab driver stated that his passenger left his cab without paying the fare, reports stated.

-Several forgery reports involving counterfeit $20 bills were taken last wee, police said. One was taken at a business in the 12300 block of Route 47 on March 21.  The other report was taken at a business in the 11700 block of Route 47 March 26.

-Police said someone broke into an unlock vehicle parked in a business parking lot in the 11300 block of Kiley Drive on March 27.  The victim reported a purse and a wallet stolen.
